Start by threading a ‘stop’ bead and bring it to the end of the thread, where you will have about 20cm of thread. A stop bead is a bead that you thread through twice so that it stays in place. This bead then ensures that the other beads do not slip off.

In this example we are working with 2 colors. Color 1 is the color that is in between the flowers and color 2 is the color of the flower.
Thread 8 beads on the thread:
– Beads 1 to 3 in color 1
– Beads 4 to 7 in color 2
– Bead number 8 is again in color 1 (Tip: this bead will be the heart of the flower. It is also nice to string this in a 3rd color).

Then put the needle back through bead 4. It is important that you do this in the direction from right to left. Tighten the thread so that half of the flower will take its form.

In this next step the flower will be made whole. Thread 3 beads of color 2 onto the thread. Then pass the needle through bead number 7 again. Tighten the thread.

From here on you repeat steps 1 and 2 until you have reached the desired lenght for the bracelet, necklace or perhaps ring.

Tip: You can adjust the number of beads between the flowers to your desired preference. For example, you can also leave out the space in between so that the flowers are right next to each other. To do this, skip the first 3 beads from step 3a.

Tips for variation on threading flowers:
Have you mastered the stitch? Experiment with diffrent colors and also with different sizes of seed beads. For example, by threading a flower of 8/0 seed beads next to a flower of 11/0 seed beads, you create a playful design.- For the closure you can use a crimp bead to attach a ring and clasp. It is also very nice to use an O-T closure

Good luck and have fun!
